vision: TAKE UP SPACE.
This video is the starting point for my next body of work. It was made in July 2023, after time spent developing my art practice with the European Cultural Academy in Venice.
The video demonstrates the intended impact, the element of personal storytelling, and for some pieces, the scale.

Sauce Day, 2023. Hand built ceramic bottle. Inspired by the Italian tradition of sauce making, where the Italian community come together to make their passata for the year. Sauce Day is a beautiful family tradition that at the time, to me, was a huge uncomfortable chore was very un-Australian.
Creating my termite hill-like sculptures from chain stitching red textiles.
